Welcome to camp at the Arthur M. Blank Family Youth YMCA! 

Summer at the Arthur M. Blank Family Youth YMCA in Atlanta is designed to keep kids active, engaged, and inspired all day long. 

The camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with early care available from 7:00–9:00 AM and extended afternoon care from 4:00–6:00 PM for working families. 

Campers can choose from Traditional Camp, high-energy Sports Camp, or Cheer Camp, giving them opportunities to learn new skills, stay moving, and connect with friends in a supportive YMCA setting.

This is a full day camp that allows campers to learn and explore new and exciting activities each week while making new friends. Each week revolves around a different theme.

In this full day camp. Campers will combine traditional day camp activities with specialty camp activities focused on sports. Throughout the week campers will learn new sports and skills/techniques (or enhance current skills/techniques) through a variety of activities. 

If your camper loves sports or wants to try something new - this is the camp for them!  

Please note this is a very active camp, so please have campers dress accordingly. 

Campers will learn new cheers while focusing on technique and form. They will also learn the basics of tumbling in a fun relaxed environment.

Campers will spend at least 2 hours of the day in the Esports lab and half the day doing day camp traditional activities such as gym games, arts and crafts, and more.  Participants will work on leveling up their gaming skills and approach gaming with a holistic approach. Topics will include, being a responsible digital citizen, sportsmanship, teamwork, etc.

FAQ's

Camp Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM

Drop off is 7:00 AM -9:00 AM 

Pick-Up is 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Carpool drop-off & pick-up is held in the front parking lot area.

Please have ID in hand for quick dismissal (All authorized pick-ups must be 18 years of age or older with physical government ID).

  • Closed toe tennis shoes
  • AM Snack
  • Water Bottle
  • Change of clothes (in case of accidents)
  • Sunscreen
  • All in a closed drawstring bag or small backpack

Any personal toys, electronics (phones, tablets, IPads, etc., make up and perfumes.

Close toed shoes and extra clothing (in case of accidents).

Refillable water bottle, sunscreen, medication is it's original box and bottle (if needed to be provided during camp hours), Signed Authorization to Administer Medication Form, List of allergies.

Inside space will be available on rainy and extremely hot days. Carpool will also transition inside.

Lunch and PM Snack will be provided. Camper is also welcome to bring their own lunch.

Traditional Camp: 5-6 year, 7-8 years, and 9-12 years

Esports: 9-12 years

Sports Camp: 7-12 years

Cheer Camp 5-12 years

Yes, we are currently working on a swimming partnership and multiple field trips.

All campers are expected to follow the guidelines outlined in the camp handbook, which promote respect, safety, and responsibility. 

Campers should treat staff and peers with kindness, follow directions the first time they are given, and respect all facilities, equipment, and program rules.  We encourage positive behavior, teamwork, and inclusion at all times. 

Any behavior that disrupts the safety or experience of others will be addressed according to the camp’s behavior management procedures outlined in the handbook.

I have been a YMCA volunteer, member and employee since 2002. I love working for an organization that is open to and serving it's community. On the weekends, I enjoy spending time outdoors and learning something new whenever I can.
