Welcome to camp at the Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA!
In Alpharetta, families turn to the Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA for a summer camp experience that blends active play, hands-on learning, and meaningful friendships.
Campers attend from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with convenient early drop-off between 7:00–9:00 AM and extended afternoon care available until 6:00 PM.
The camp lineup includes Traditional Camp filled with classic games and group activities, STEAM Camp designed to spark creativity and problem-solving, and Sports Camp for kids who want to stay moving and build athletic skills. Throughout the summer, the Ed Isakson/Alpharetta Family YMCA creates an engaging environment where children grow in confidence while enjoying a safe and structured day camp.

This is a full day camp that allows campers to learn and explore new and exciting activities each week while making new friends. Each week revolves around a different theme. In addition to fun games, creative workshops, and outdoor adventures, campers will participate in swim lessons, helping them develop water safety skills and confidence in the pool.
Our camp is designed to celebrate individuality and empower participants of all abilities. We provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment where campers can explore new activities, build confidence, and form lasting friendships. Through adaptive programs, creative workshops, and recreational experiences, we focus on fostering independence, teamwork, and personal growth.
Join us at the Y Teen Leadership Summer Camp! This program is designed to empower and inspire teenagers to become future leaders, while fostering personal growth, teamwork, and community engagement.
Participants will embark on a journey of self-discovery and harness their leadership skills by leading activities with younger campers, interactive trainings, and their own group activities.
This full-day camp invites young artists to unleash their creativity through a variety of hands-on art experiences. Campers spend dedicated time each day exploring different mediums—painting, drawing, and more—while learning techniques that help bring their imaginations to life.
Curious minds come alive at STEAM Camp! Campers explore science, technology, engineering, arts, and math through hands-on projects, creative challenges, and collaborative experiments. It’s a summer of innovation, imagination, and discovery.
In Cooking Camp, young chefs will roll up their sleeves and dive into the delicious world of cooking creativity. Campers will learn kitchen basics, explore new recipes, and whip up tasty treats, all while enjoying traditional camp activities like games, crafts, and outdoor fun.
Our Soccer Sports Camp focuses on skill development through engaging drills, exciting scrimmages, and fun games. Campers build confidence, improve technique, and learn teamwork in a supportive and active environment. Whether they're new to the sport or looking to sharpen their skills, this camp offers a great mix of learning and play.
Campers will build their basketball skills through a mix of drills, scrimmages, and games designed to boost confidence, coordination, and teamwork. In addition to time on the court, they’ll enjoy a variety of traditional camp activities that keep the day fun, active, and well-rounded. It’s the perfect blend of sports and classic camp experiences!
Get ready for a summer full of movement and fun! Our full-day Gym and Swim Camp combines active play with essential water skills, creating the perfect balance of fitness and excitement. Campers will enjoy a variety of gym-based activities such as games, sports, and team challenges designed to build strength, coordination, and confidence.
Campers will spend at least 2 hours of the day in the Esports lab and half the day doing day camp traditional activities such as gym games, arts and crafts, and more. Participants will work on leveling up their gaming skills and approach gaming with a holistic approach. Topics will include, being a responsible digital citizen, sportsmanship, teamwork, etc.
Experience the ultimate summer of sports and fun! Our full-day All-American Sports Camp is perfect for kids who love to stay active and try new challenges. Each week, campers dive into a variety of classic American sports—such as basketball, baseball, soccer, flag football, and more—while learning teamwork, sportsmanship, and essential skills.
Step into the rhythm this summer! Our full-day Dance Camp is perfect for campers who love to move, groove, and express themselves through music. Each day features engaging dance classes that explore a variety of styles—from jazz and hip-hop to contemporary and more—while building confidence, coordination, and creativity.
Our flag football sports camps will spend 2 hours per day working on flag football skill development through drills, scrimmages, and games.
Our volleyball sports camps will spend 2 hours per day working on volleyball skill development through drills, scrimmages, and games for the sport(s) being offered that week.
Campers will participate in gymnastics where they will learn new skills and work to improve on old skills.

Camp Hours: 7:00 AM - 6:00 PM
Drop-off: 7:00-9:00 AM
Pick-up: 3:45-6:00 PM
Carline will open in the mornings promptly at 7:00 AM.
No ID needed for drop-off. Pull forward in carline and we will get camper out and check them in.
If you have an early pick-up request, please give us a note explaining what will be happening, with name of camper and time at drop-off time so we can have the camper ready for the early pickup.
For late drop offs, the parking lot will be closed off so please park and walk your child to the desk and we will get them checked in and placed in their correct group.
Carline will open at 3:45 PM for pickup where ID will be needed.

Please Apply Sunscreen and bug spray to your camper before their arrival to camp.
Make sure your camper brings a water bottle.
If your camper is feeling ill, we will reach out to you about next steps.
If your camper requires any medication to be kept at camp, please ask for our medication form, and drop off meds with a doctors note to the front desk.
Our camp is mostly outdoors, but we will be in the shade for a majority of our outdoor time, and will follow our "Hot Day' guidelines for any heat warnings.
We will also relocate to indoors if there is a thunderstorm warning, and will communicate that to you all via email.
Please have your camper bring all of their own food, as we do not provide food and do not allow campers share their food.
Campers will be grouped into ages 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-13 for traditional camp, and ages 5-6, 7-9, and 10-13 for specialty camps.
They will rotate every hour on the hour with their group to go from activity to activity.
Yes, in house field trips will be offered through our specialty camps, and water week offers a good amount of water activities.
Behavior guidelines are outlined in parent handbook, parents will be notified at any behavior deemed unqualified.
Families will receive weekly updates from me, and will have the option to reach out to myself, or their child's lead camp counselor for that week.
Work with the front desk on authorized pickups for campers prior to the summer, and always keep your phone near while your child is at camp.
