Hunger Relief Programs
Since the onset of the COVID pandemic in 2020, the Y has greatly expanded our food insecurity and hunger relief programs. A great number of volunteers and partners are needed to provide these services in our communities. Visit the Volunteer page to find opportunities. Foster families and children face many struggles and the Y provides a safe, welcoming environment for the family to engage together. Many Y branches provide complimentary memberships for foster children and the families caring for them. Reach out to your local Y to find out more about foster family programs.
Community wellness means providing preventative health and fitness programs as well as chronic disease prevention and support programs. The Y offers personal coaching in addition to blood pressure self-monitoring support, Diabetes Prevention, Parkinsons Disease Programs, Cancer support and more.
