Leo Pommier, 20, head counselor at YMCA Camp High Harbour at Lake Allatoona, has been attending summer camp at High Harbour for the past 12 years. But Leo’s trip to High Harbour is a little further than most campers.
Leo is from Paris. Yes, Paris, France. His mom was visiting the area 12 years ago and decided High Harbour would be a good summer camp for Leo to attend.
“My mom is a teacher, and she was looking at summer camps for my brother and I to attend,” said Leo. “Allatoona starts with an A, so it was the first camp she called.”
