Summer is a time for kids to activate their sense of adventure and expand the limits of their imagination. At Y Day Camp, every day is an opportunity for campers to make new friends and explore endless possibilities for fun. When kids find new passions, they find their Y.

With 18 metro Atlanta locations, Y Day Camp offers affordable pricing well below many competitors, making summer day camp a great option—and a great value—for working parents. Plus, financial assistance is always available for Y programs.

Y Day Camp offer kids a safe, fun, stress-free environment with engaging activities that keep your child moving, laughing – and off of screens.

From exploring nature to building imaginary worlds and everything in between, the Y offers kids new experiences so they can discover what they love.

What makes Y Day Camp different?

We offer Specialty and Traditional Camp experiences in a safe, structured, and fun environment where campers can build self-confidence, learn new skills, deepen their respect for themselves and others, and make new friends. All of our age-appropriate activities are designed to promote independence and develop our four core values: Caring, Honesty, Respect, and Responsibility.

The Y Day Camp staff members are here to support both campers and parents. We believe in open communication among campers, parents, and Y staff.

Specialty Camps

Y specialty day camps offer kids an opportunity to expand their interests and learn new skills. whether its cooking, basketball, drama or STEAM, at Y sport and specialty camps, kids have space to grow stronger, try new things, and build their confidence in a safe and nurturing environment.

Traditional Camps

When it comes to having fun in the months when school is out, Y Day Camp is the answer. Campers have fun while building social-emotional and academic skills by engaging in a wide variety of games, activities, and team projects, in an environment that allows them to connect with new people.

Facility and current Program members simply login into their Y membership account to begin the registration process.

If you are not a YMCA Facility or Program member, a Program membership is required for your family to register for YMCA programs and is valid for one year from the date of purchase.

To renew or buy a Program membership, click here and then select “Family” and scroll down to your Y location of choice and select “Program Annual” membership to register and pay for your Program membership.

Traditional Camp:
In our traditional camps, we use challenging and fun activities that feature weekly themes, promote personal growth, and encourage campers to have fun with their friends.

Traditional camp includes age-appropriate activities including arts & crafts, group games, outdoor exploration, indoor learning experiences and much more. Based on each camp location, additional activities may include archery, canoe rides and more.

Sports & Specialty Camps:
Many of our Ys offer specialty camps focusing on an array of topics: sports, art, gymnastics, STEAM, teen leadership, swim, and many more. Our specialty camps require weekly registrations. Check out the available camps at your local Y for specifics.

Y Day Camp offers families full-day coverage

Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 6:00 pm
Pre-Camp: 7:00 - 9:00 am & Post Camp: 4:00 - 6:30 pm

Most Y Day Camps are for kids ages 5-15. However, ages vary by camp. Check out our available camps here to see what options are available for your child at your preferred location. Preschool camps are available at some Ys for children younger than 5.

A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of registration.

Cancellations must be made two weeks in advance of camp date to receive a credit of the balance of payment (excluding the non-refundable deposit).

Campers registered after 12 a.m. on the Friday before the next week of camp will incur a late registration fee of $25.

Pay in Full:
If you are registering for a camp date starting in less than two weeks, full payment is due when you register.

Auto Draft:
Your credit card will be charged on the payment due date which is on the Monday two weeks before the camp date. You should select this option at time of registration if you only want to pay the minimum deposit. Auto draft information can be updated as needed.

Weekly camp fees are due 10 days prior to the start of the scheduled week. If you register within 10 days of the start date, full payment is due at the time of registration.

Payments may be made using:

  • Debit Card
  • Check (accepted at the branch)
  • Credit Card (A 3% processing fee applies to all credit card transactions. This fee helps to offset processing costs and is not charged by your credit card company.)

We believe every child and family should have the opportunity to participate in any Y program. Those not able to pay the full fee may be awarded partial financial assistance based on their ability to pay and the Y’s ability to fund the subsidy.

The YMCA also accepts third party payment from other organizations that help families in need. Many of our Y locations currently accept DFCS (CAPS) payments. Please contact your local branch and case worker first before enrolling your child in Y Day Camp.

Forms cannot be transferred from other Y programs.

Campers SHOULD bring:

  • Lunch in an insulated box
  • Refillable water bottle
  • Two snacks (no nuts, please)
  • Spray sunscreen and bug spray

 

Campers SHOULD NOT bring:

  • Cell phones, laptops or any type of electronics
