Your Y membership grants access all across the U.S.!
At the Y, we believe that positive, lasting personal and social change can come about only when we all work together to invest in our kids, our health, and our neighbors. Nationwide membership makes that investment real by giving you easy access to more than 2,600 Ys across the United States (including Puerto Rico) at no additional cost to you. You will find a safe and welcoming Y community wherever you are.
We understand that sometimes it is more convenient for members to take advantage of a Y near their workplace or when they are traveling outside the area of their home Y. With Nationwide Membership, members have the flexibility to use participating Y facilities throughout the United States at no extra charge.
Things to Know Before You Go
Some basic rules apply to this benefit...
Most of your monthly visits (50%+) must be with your Home Y (the local association that you joined originally and collects your membership dues). Nationwide membership is based on individual usage, not the overall usage of your family membership.
Planning a Long-Term Visit
Each Y is run independently. To ensure membership dues are supporting the appropriate location, please put your membership on hold with your Home Y if you’ll be at your new location for more than 28 days (including college students). Please plan ahead, as many Ys require 30 days’ notice to place your account on hold.
Call Before You Visit
Contact the Y you plan to visit in advance to ensure it is one of the more than 2,600 Ys in the U.S. participating in the program. Please note: program-only participants, such as Silver Sneakers, are not eligible. Other program discounts do not apply. Participating YMCAs reserve the right to restrict facility or program access. Other restrictions and exclusions may apply.
Bring the Essentials
Bring your photo ID and plan to sign a liability waiver when you visit another Y. If you’re under 18, a parent or guardian will need to sign the waiver for you.
