The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is proud to have been the Official jersey Patch Partner of the Atlanta Hawks for the 2023 - 2024 and 2024 - 2025 season. Through this partnership, the Hawks and the YMCA worked together to increase access to youth sports while creating programs and campaigns that support the well-being, health, and development of Atlantans, with a special focus on fostering inclusive, thriving communities.
The partnership also highlighted the YMCA’s history with basketball, dating back to the sport’s creation by Dr. James Naismith in 1891 at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Y is a place where young people learn to play basketball while building the skills and confidence to reach their full potential. Big dreams start here!
