The YMCA of Metro Atlanta is proud to be the Official jersey Patch Partner of the Atlanta Hawks. Through this partnership, the Hawks and the YMCA will work together to increase access to youth sports while creating programs and campaigns that support the well-being, health, and development of Atlantans, with a special focus on fostering inclusive, thriving communities.
The partnership also highlights the YMCA’s history with basketball, dating back to the sport’s creation by Dr. James Naismith in 1891 at a YMCA in Springfield, Massachusetts. The Y is a place where young people learn to play basketball while building the skills and confidence to reach their full potential. Big dreams start here!
