Welcome to camp at the J.M. Tull-Gwinnett Family YMCA!
At the J.M. Tull/Gwinnett Family YMCA, summer days are designed to keep kids moving, learning, and connecting. Camp runs from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with extended care options that include early drop-off from 7:00–9:00 AM and late pick-up available until 6:30 PM.
The camp experience blends familiar favorites with unique opportunities, offering Traditional Camp alongside Specialty Camps and active Sports Camps. Through a mix of structured activities and guided play, campers build friendships, try new skills, and stay engaged in a supportive YMCA environment throughout the summer.

STEM Camp sparks curiosity and creativity through hands-on exploration in science, technology, engineering, and math. Campers dive into exciting experiments, build cool creations, and tackle fun challenges that encourage problem-solving and innovation. It’s the perfect camp for young thinkers who love to explore how things work and dream up new ideas!
This full-day camp invites young artists to unleash their creativity through a variety of hands-on art experiences. Campers spend dedicated time each day exploring different mediums—painting, drawing, sculpture, and more—while learning techniques that help bring their imaginations to life. With guidance from supportive instructors and plenty of room for self-expression, campers build confidence, develop artistic skills, and create unique works they’ll be proud to share.
In Cooking Camp, young chefs will roll up their sleeves and dive into the delicious world of cooking creativity. Campers will learn kitchen basics, explore new recipes, and whip up tasty treats, all while enjoying traditional camp activities like games, crafts, and outdoor fun.
Step into the colorful world of anime. This camp is perfect for fans of Japanese animation, manga, and creative storytelling. Campers explore character design, drawing techniques, and animation basics while connecting with others who share their passion. With themed activities, art projects, and plenty of imagination, Anime Camp is a place where creativity and fandom come to life!
Get moving and express yourself at Dance Camp. Campers will explore a variety of beginner-friendly dance styles while building coordination, rhythm, and confidence. Through fun choreography, games, and creative movement, they’ll learn new skills and enjoy the joy of dancing in a supportive and upbeat environment. Whether it’s their first time dancing or they love to move, this camp is all about fun, friendship, and self-expression.
Let your imagination run wild at Creative Crafts Camp. Campers will explore a variety of hands-on projects using different materials and techniques—from painting and sculpting to DIY creations. This camp encourages self-expression, problem-solving, and creativity in a fun, supportive environment where every camper can make something uniquely their own.
Swim Sports Camp is an introduction to competitive swimming, water polo, snorkeling, diving, and synchronized swimming.
A requirement for registration for all campers is to pass our swimming test prior to registering; proof of this swimming test card will need to be provided upon registration.
The components of the swim test are swimmers who will jump in water over their head, tread water for one minute, float on their back, and swim from the deep end to the shallow end of the pool without stopping.
Campers will learn new cheers while focusing on techniques and forms. They will also learn the basics of tumbling in a fun, relaxed environment.
In this active and engaging camp, participants focus on building basketball fundamentals through skill-based drills, team scrimmages, and fun games.
Campers develop coordination, confidence, and teamwork while learning techniques in shooting, passing, defense, and more all in a supportive and energetic environment designed for growth and play.

Day Camp Hours: 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Pre-Camp: 7:00 AM - 9:00 AM
Post Camp: 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM
You may drop your child off as early as 7:00am every morning. Carpool ends at 9:30am.
We will have a Check-in Drive thru next to the outdoor pool (follow the signs).
Please remain in your car. Our staff will assist you and proceed with the check in process.
This year we are required to have a Parent/Caregiver signature for each check in and check out.
If you plan to pick up your child outside or our designated carpool time in the afternoon, please notify the staff at Check in.

YMCA staff are First Aid & CPR-certified and have been trained in emergency procedures. Plans for handling fire, floods, tornadoes, severe weather, intruders, lost/missing children, injuries/ illnesses are covered during staff training prior to the start of camp.
We will call you or your emergency contact to notify them of a minor accident or injury. If your child falls ill or has a fever over 100.4 F during camp, we will move them to a monitored, isolated room for immediate pickup.
Please plan for sunshine and rain. We will continue our outdoor activities as long as there is no thunder or lighting. Should there be thunder or lightning, we will move the children into the facility until theweather is safe to move back outdoors.
The safety and well being of our campers and staff is always our first priority.
Lunch is provided but they are allowed to bring their own lunch. No sharing is allowed. Please bring 2-3 snacks and a water bottle.
5 yrs old, 6-7 year olds, 8-9 year olds, 10-11 year olds, 12-14 year olds
Yes, our 12-14 age group will go on field trips three times a week. Field trips are subject to change.
Each child entering our camp program will attend a camp orientation on the first day of the session where staff will discuss camper expectations, our behavior policy and the zero tolerance policy against bullying.
